Howdy!
Welcome to our blog site. We are Nancy and Lily - a traveling duo from Texas. We are new to boondocking and are learning some pretty good lessons about solo travel, life and faith as we trek out on our own through some of the most beautiful country in God's creation. We are excited to share our stories with you - and hope you will learn with us along the way.
I am recently retired from a long career in municipal government. I remember camping a bit as a kid but really have no idea what I am doing! That's all part of the adventure, though. Learn new things, set new goals and enjoy the journey. Retirement isn't an end for me - it's just the beginning! My loyal Chocolate Lab, Lily is my trail buddy, campsite companion, and joyful reminder to notice the small things. She is the inspiration behind the name, which reflects her presence and the rugged simple beauty of life outdoors. Thanks for coming along for the ride. See you on the road!
